This is one of the most delicious cakes I make.
A simple base where each time I add a touch of flavor, this time grated dark chocolate.
The measuring cup I used is a disposable cardboard cup
Ingredients:
6 eggs
One and a quarter cups of sugar
1 vanilla sugar
3/4 cup of oil
A glass of orange juice
A cup of coconut
1 baking powder
2 and a quarter cups of flour
100 grams of grated dark chocolate
Preparation:
Whisk the egg whites with a cup of sugar until very stiff peaks form and set aside.
In a separate bowl, mix the egg yolks with a quarter cup of sugar and vanilla sugar with a hand whisk for about a minute, add the oil and orange juice and whisk together.
Add the coconut and mix.
Finally, add the flour and baking powder, mix everything well to obtain a homogeneous mixture.
Add the egg whites and gently fold them into the mixture with a spatula to avoid reducing the volume; at the end, add the grated chocolate and mix again.
Use a greased rectangular disposable mold
Preheat the oven to 160 degrees
Cook until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out dry, about 50 minutes.
A cup corresponds to 250 ml when I mention "cup" in my recipes. Here are two tables that will help you with your conversions if you don't have a cup!
