Today's recipe, besides being very easy to prepare, is one of the tastiest I know.
Ingredients :
A whole chicken
250g rice
A handful of fresh thyme sprigs
Salt, pepper and spice of your choice
a chopped onion
Chicken seasoning
3 tablespoons of olive oil,
half a teaspoon of coarse salt
a teaspoon of ground black pepper
one or two spoonfuls of silane (date honey).
Preparation :
- In a frying pan, sauté the onion and rice for 3 minutes over medium/high heat, taking care to stir regularly.
- Add twice the volume of rice in water, add salt and cook for the time mentioned on the package.
- Mix the cooked rice with a few sprigs of fresh thyme and spices
- Stuff your chicken with rice and then close it with toothpicks or string.
- Season your chicken by thoroughly massaging all parts with the seasoning ingredients. Place it in an ovenproof dish that matches its size.
- Bake at 220°C for 30 minutes, then reduce the temperature to 180°C and bake for another 30 minutes. Baste your chicken regularly throughout the cooking time.
A cup corresponds to 250 ml when I mention "cup" in my recipes. Here are two tables that will help you with your conversions if you don't have a cup!
