Pitot Pessah
Ingredients :
350g of 'Osem' flour with Shmarim*
2 tablespoons of sugar
2 eggs
1 and 3/4 glasses of tap water
1 tablespoon of salt
1/3 glass of oil.
*
Preparation :
Mix the 'Osem' flour with the sugar in a food processor at speed 2 or 3 (out of 10).
Next add the eggs and water, then the salt and oil.
Mix for about 5 more minutes.
Let it rest for 30 minutes.
Form the Pitot dough; if it is too runny, add more Osem flour. .
Remember to preheat your oven to 200 degrees.
Make small dough hens which you will flatten thinly with a rolling pin before placing them on a baking sheet.
Place your trays in the oven and let them cook for 10-15 minutes.
Remove your baking sheets when the pitas are nicely toasted and let them rest on a wire rack to cool without getting soggy. If you don't have a KitchenAid, use your regular food processor; if you don't have a food processor, get your hands and muscles ready!.
A cup corresponds to 250 ml when I mention "cup" in my recipes. Here are two tables that will help you with your conversions if you don't have a cup!
