Ingredients
- 5 eggs
- 300 g of sugar
- 2 packets of baking powder
- 2 packets of vanilla sugar
- 2 glasses of oil (disposable plastic cup)
- Flour (amount added gradually, depending on the consistency)
- Anise seeds or sesame seeds (optional)
- 100g of flaked almonds
- 1 extra egg for brushing

Preparation steps
- Beat the 5 eggs until they turn white, then gradually add the sugar while continuing to beat.
- Incorporate the vanilla sugar and the two glasses of oil, mixing well.
- Add the baking powder, then gradually add the flour, stirring until you obtain a soft and slightly sticky dough (do not use the entire package of flour at once).
- Shape the brittle according to your preferences: sticks, crowns or other shapes.
- Brush each biscuit with the beaten egg and sprinkle with flaked almonds.
- Place in a preheated oven at 180-200 °C for 15 to 20 minutes, depending on your oven, until a nice golden color is achieved.
The secret to these light and airy cookies lies in a slightly sticky dough: don't hesitate to add the flour gradually to find the right balance. These cookies keep for a long time in an airtight container, making them perfect for preparing in advance for afternoon tea or last-minute snacks.
