Ingredients

  • 1 bag of dry biscuits (250 g)
  • 1 cup of milk (250 ml)
  • 50g of butter
  • 4 tablespoons of cocoa powder
  • 4 tablespoons of sugar
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • 200g of dark chocolate pieces
  • 1/2 glass of Ribat Halav
  • 1/2 glass of Lotus cream
  • 2 glasses of grated coconut

Preparation steps

  1. Place the dry biscuits in a food processor and grind them until they reach a fine, sandy texture. Set aside in a bowl.
  2. In a small saucepan, combine the milk, butter, cocoa powder, sugar, vanilla extract, and chopped dark chocolate.
  3. Place the saucepan over low heat and heat, stirring regularly, until everything is melted and a uniform, homogeneous mixture is formed.
  4. Pour this chocolate mixture over the molded biscuits and stir well so that everything is coated.
  5. Let the mixture rest for about 10 minutes so that the biscuits fully absorb the mixture.
  6. Place in the refrigerator for about half an hour — this will make shaping into balls much easier.
  7. For the Coco version : Remove the mixture from the refrigerator and shape into balls of the desired size, then coat them generously with grated coconut.
  8. For the Ribat Halav version Remove the mixture from the refrigerator, shape your balls, then heat the Ribat Halav in the microwave. Pour it into a piping bag and pipe back and forth over each ball, then sprinkle with "gold" powder.
  9. For the Lotus version Remove the mixture from the refrigerator, form your balls, then heat the Lotus cream in the microwave. Place it in a piping bag and pipe it back and forth over the balls, then sprinkle with Lotus powder.
  10. Store your bites in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
  11. Parve version (without milk or butter) :
  12. Replace the milk and butter with 1 can of coconut cream (400 ml) and increase the amount of biscuits to 1 1/2 packs (approximately 375 g). The preparation remains the same.
  13. Milk chocolate coating variant :
  14. You can also coat the shaped balls by dipping them in 200g of melted milk chocolate to which you have added a dash of Ribat Halav.

For even easier shaping, use a small measuring spoon or an ice cream scoop — the balls will be uniform and you'll save time! Store your treats in the refrigerator for up to two weeks for a sweet treat on hand.
