These pizza breads are delicious. You can top them with olives, pepperoni, or any other topping you like.
INGREDIENTS
500 g of flour
1 tablespoon of instant dry yeast
1 tablespoon of sugar
1 1/2 teaspoons of salt
300 ml of water
30g of melted butter
370g of tomato sauce
370g of grated mozzarella cheese
1 teaspoon of oregano
Extra olives/peperoni/cheese for garnish
1 egg
Preparation
1. In the bowl of a mixer, combine the yeast, flour, and sugar. Add the salt, melted butter, and water, and knead for 6 to 8 minutes.
2. Grease the bowl with oil. Place the dough in the bowl, cover with plastic wrap and let it rise until doubled, about 1 hour.
3. On a floured work surface, roll out the dough into a rectangle.
4. Spread with tomato sauce, crushed garlic, and oregano. Then sprinkle with mozzarella and olives (optional). Leave about 2 cm uncovered around the edges.
5. Gently roll the dough into a log. Slice into 12 equal pieces. Place the rolls in a baking dish lined with parchment paper. Cover with plastic wrap and let rise for 30 minutes.
6. Preheat the oven to 180C.
7. Brush the rolls with beaten egg. Bake for 30 to 35 minutes or until golden brown.
