These croissants are a little marvel, quick to prepare and even quicker to eat because they are so delicious!
Ingredients :
For the dough:
1 kilo of flour
Two tablespoons of dry yeast
A plastic cup of sugar
A teaspoon of salt
4 eggs
A plastic cup of oil
Two "Chamenet Hamoutsa" or two glasses of water (parve version)
For the chocolate dough (two methods):
1 – Jar of Nutella (for the milk version) or pareve chocolate spread version
2 – For the pareve version (no. 2):
A glass of sugar
5 tablespoons of cocoa
A packet of vanilla sugar
Mix everything together to make a chocolate sauce.
Preparation :
Put all the dough ingredients in the bowl of your food processor with the dough hook and mix until you have a soft and slightly sticky dough and place it in the fridge for half an hour and outside for 45 minutes covered with a clean cloth.
Once the dough has risen, roll out a large rectangle two millimeters thick, coat with chocolate, fold in half lengthwise, then cut into triangles and roll up to make croissants, and let your croissants rise on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Bake in a 190 degree oven for 15 minutes, keeping a close eye on the baking; if the chocolate oozes out of the croissants, don't worry, it's normal!
When the croissants have cooled, peel them off, removing the excess chocolate, and you can either sprinkle icing sugar or syrup over them with a brush. .
Syrup recipe:
a glass of water
a glass of sugar
a sachet of vanilla sugar
a spoonful of lemon juice
Boil everything in a saucepan, then reduce the heat and let it cook for another 5 minutes while stirring.
A cup corresponds to 250 ml when I mention "cup" in my recipes. Here are two tables that will help you with your conversions if you don't have a cup!
