Maknouz breads are those wonderful "Arab" breads that our mothers used to make with so much love. Much more than just a side dish, they are the heart of countless family meals. Easy to make and quick to bake, they'll become a staple in your kitchen.

Ingredients
- 1 kg of flour
- 3 tablespoons of olive oil
- 3 tablespoons of sugar
- 1 tablespoon of salt
- 18g of dry yeast
- Warm water (amount needed for a soft dough)
Preparation steps
- Pour all the ingredients into a food processor and knead for 6 minutes or more depending on your machine, until you obtain a smooth and supple dough.
- Once the dough is ready, shape it into balls and let them rise.
- Heat a generously oiled pan over medium heat.
- Gently flatten each ball with your hands to form a flattened loaf and place it in the hot pan.
- Cook the bread on each side until it is a nice golden brown.
You can prepare the dough in the morning and leave it to rest all day in the refrigerator: it will only be better! Serve the Maknouz breads while still warm, with honey, cheese or simply dipped in a sauce.
