Sweet, soft, and fragrant with vanilla, it's the perfect snack for kids—a recipe so quick you'll wonder why you didn't make it sooner!

Ingredients
- 2 or 3 challahs or stale breads
- 300 g of sugar
- 3 eggs
- Soaked raisins
- 2 sachets of vanilla sugar
- 150g of butter
- 500 ml of milk
- Icing sugar for finishing
Preparation steps
- In a bowl, mix the eggs, sugar, vanilla sugar and soaked raisins. Set this mixture aside.
- Cut the bread into thick slices.
- Dip each slice of bread in the milk to soak it thoroughly.
- Heat a pan and melt 20g of butter in it.
- Lightly press each slice of bread with your hand, dip it in the egg-sugar mixture, then place it in the hot pan.
- Cook on both sides until golden brown. Continue with the remaining bread slices, adding butter as needed.
- Arrange the French toast in a serving dish and sprinkle generously with icing sugar.
For an even softer French toast, let the slices soak in the milk for a few more seconds. You can also prepare the egg and sugar mixture a little in advance to allow the flavors to meld together.
