INGREDIENTS
375g of all-purpose flour
2 1/2 teaspoons (8g) of instant dry yeast
2 tablespoons (25g) of sugar
1/2 teaspoon of salt
3/4 cup (180 ml) of milk, lukewarm or almond milk
1 egg (large)
3 tablespoons (45g) of melted butter (or margarine)
1/2 cup (70g) of raisins
1 egg + 1 tablespoon of water for the topping of the brioches
PREPARATION
1. In a large bowl, mix the flour, sugar, salt and yeast.
2. Add the milk, melted butter and eggs.
3. Mix until a soft, sticky dough forms. Transfer the dough to a lightly floured surface and knead for 4 to 5 minutes. Add the raisins and mix until well combined. Place the dough in a lightly greased bowl, cover with plastic wrap, and let rise for about 1 hour, or until doubled in size.
4. Divide the dough into 10 pieces. Flatten each piece of dough, then fold and roll into a ball or long loaf shape.
5. Place the rolls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Cover with a tea towel or plastic wrap. Let rise until doubled in size.
